Official announcement came today that Brett Favre has decided next year that he will be playing for the Harvard Quidditch team. The sport is from the Harry Potter series movies and books that is now taking the world by storm as an actual sport. Brett Favre will play chaser position because of his throwing abilities. He wanted to be a seeker but he’s put on a little weight and well, not too fast. There has yet been talk about what they will give him in return for hopefully taken them all the way to the Quidditch world cup in Middlebury. It’s rumored they have some of the players selling cookies right now to raise the money.
At the announcement at Harvard he said, “I’m very excited to be moving to a sport that I think will be much larger than the NFL and much more exciting to watch. Not sure what broom i’ll have between my legs yet but i’ll probably start with a Nimbus model. Right now I have just been wearing my Vikings helmet and a superman cape for practices. It is a very dangerous sport”, he told us while demonstrating how he will ride the broom, “If you have someone run into your broom from the side when it’s between your legs, ouch, your out of the game for about 20 minutes”.
There is already talk of unfair advantage and magic spells already being cast by other teams. The Harvard team captain told us if Brett can prove that he is a good chaser and not rack himself with the broomstick too many times per game, then he can wear the Harry Potter glasses sometimes while playing.

The dangers of Quidditch painfully shown here. Accidents are highly probable when you run with a broomstick between your legs.
