Major outbreak hits California

California – The medical field is baffled by the sudden increase in health problems. We’re not just talking about a small amount we are talking a 437% increase which is unheard of. What’s mysterious is that most people affected have not had a history of prior medical conditions. Whatever it is that is spreading throughout California is causing many different unconnected illnesses and diseases. People are lining up by the thousands at doctor’s offices in almost epidemic proportions.

The good news is a new law allowing marijuana for medical use could not have come at a better time. Sometimes the world naturally balances itself out. Just as soon as this outbreak occured, and I’m sure by complete coincidence, medical use of marijuana was approved. The doctors we talked to say about 97% of the people have chosen to go the more alternative route with the marijuana, rather than the traditional methods for relief. Even some people with broken bones.

We asked Steve who is an employee of a local Marijuana Dispensary his thoughts about what’s happening.

“It’s really weird man, we seemed to have opened up at the exact right time. It’s a good thing we were here because perfectly healthy people all over are coming down with all kinds of things like sleeplessness, anxiety, depression, anorexia, over eating, restless leg syndrome, appetite loss and alot more. Sometimes on a Monday someone will come in with a loss of appetite and we’ll get them some relief and then the next day they are back with a different problem where they can’t stop eating. Whatever this disease is that is going around seems to be mutating. My friend Josh who’s a super hyper guy, was here because he was totally stressed out at work and then like three days later he was diagnosed with the opposite. He seemed to not want to go to work and was like really lazy and stuff. It’s so weird.”

From what we have heard most of these dispenaries are non profit. Steve told us, “Yeah we don’t make any money off the sale of the medical marijuana, but who would have guessed that in one week in our snack section we would sell over 1800 bags of chips and pretzels. I think the pretzels are curing them man.” He uncontrollably laughs for whats seems to be an awkwardly long time.

After about 15 minutes and The lack of getting any more information from Steve or other employees, because of hysterical laughter over the word pretzel, we drove over across the city to talk to Doctor Ekoms, local general practioner and evalulator for medical marijuana use. The doctor told us this outbreak still has no real ryhme or reason but he says it seems to be mainly targeting people in the 18-35 age group who are mainly out of work, musicians, artists or actors. “I was making some rounds at some of the local dispensary shops and I swear I saw Willie Nelson at four different places getting medicine. The disease is really out of control.”

After a small break of chips and french fries, he continued telling us,

Not only has the marijuana helped this new outbreak of health problems, but has really seemed to help a lot of the more serious patients with cancer, epilepsy and alzheimers. Most of the shops will actually deliver right to their house. The alzheimer patients seem to come only once, but we shortly found out that they forgot where the shops were.

We didn’t seem to get many words in but we managed to ask about some recent news we heard about some people getting too addicted to the marijuana. “Yes, you are correct about that. In the business we call this new addiction Cheechia-chongatitas“, he said said as he opened a box of oreo cookies, “It seems if this addiction gets any bigger there may have to be a medicine to combat it. I have heard talk about a petition to legalize Meth, crack and morphine to cure the pot addiction.“, he mumbled while sticking oreos, french fries and a twinkie in his mouth simultaneously.
